What is VelaSmooth™?
VelaSmooth™ is a method for treating cellulite using an advanced combination of massage, infrared light and radiofrequency energy.

How does the treatment work?
Massage is achieved through specialized rollers and vacuum suction, which increases circulation and fluid drainage. The infrared light and radiofrequency energy heats the tissue, prompting the tissue to convert its fat stores into energy.

How many treatments are required?
Two treatments a week for at least four weeks is recommended. Results may be seen after as few as five or six treatments.

Are there any possible side effects?
The treated areas may be pink and warm following treatment. There is a small risk of bruising.

Will there be any downtime?
There is little to no downtime. Normal activities may be resumed immediately.

How long does a VelaSmooth™ session last?
Session length varies depending on the size of the area to be treated, but they typically last around 30 to 60 minutes.

What conditions respond best to this treatment?
Cellulite can be treated regardless of its location on the body; common areas of treatment include the buttocks, thighs, arms and abdomen.

Who should avoid VelaSmooth™?
Those with pacemakers or uncontrolled medical conditions cannot be treated. Those who are pregnant or obese are also not good candidates.

How does the treatment feel?
The treatment feels like a massage. If there is any discomfort, the technician can adjust the settings to a more comfortable level.

What are the limitations of VelaSmooth™?
VelaSmooth™ cannot be used to reduce fat, only cellulite.
